Farley is a small village located seven miles east of Salisbury. It’s home to many musicians, artists and writers, and has been the centre for Farley Music Festival for 10 years.
It was decided in 2017 that Farley should host its first Literary Festival. A week of evening events featuring Barney Norris, Katharine Johnson, Tarn Richardson and Roland White proved such a success that we decided to launch the second one at the end of August, running over two locations in the village and featuring eight different events including a quiz night.
Flitfest ’17 enjoyed the support of an average of 50 people at each event and hopes to better this in 2018! All profits from the festival will be used for the maintenance of All Saints Church, Farley and to support the work of Morning Star, a registered charity, working for the benefit of the local homeless.
Whether your literary preference is history, thrillers, horror, humour, nature or mysteries, we hope there’s something for you, and look forward to welcoming you to our village and festival.
